Wabi-Sabi Dreifuss-Vase „Doro-Ashi“

Handcrafted Wabi-Sabi Tripod Vase „Doro-Ashi“
The handmade Wabi-Sabi tripod vase “Doro-Ashi” (Mud Foot) stands on three uneven legs – just above the table, like a small creature. The rim is torn, the body round, the feet show rust-toned raw clay. Shaped in our studio, WabiSui ArtLab on the High Rhine, it follows Wabi-Sabi: imperfect, dry, marked by the material.
Outside is a multi-layered glaze of kiln ash and Rhine mud – gathered and prepared around the studio. The surface stays matte, almost dusty: mud-grey-green, with brown-reddish clouds that turn slightly green in the light. Inside, a kiln-ash and mussel glaze with silvery clouds.
“Doro-Ashi” works for small plants or branches, as a holder for aperitif vegetables and pastry, or as sculpture with nothing in it.
Exclusive collector’s piece: Would you like a daylight video or details on the surface before purchase? Write to us at info@wabisui.com.
